Egg Puzzle Review Project
Materials:
·
Colored paper
·
Glue or tape
Procedure:
Prior
to the class, summarize the topic in sequential form (i.e. place important
events in the history, being studied, in chronological order.)
Then
cut each one of the events out onto separate slips of paper and place each slip
into a plastic egg container (note that every group of students should have a
separate color of
plastic egg container in which the slips will be placed – also note that every group should have a copy of each slip.)
Hide
these eggs around the classroom.
Give each group differently colored construction paper and tell them to look for egg’s corresponding to the color they have received. Explain to them that in each egg will be a slip upon
which details something significant about the history they just studied and that they have to place these in chronological order based on what they remember from the classes preceding.
After they have placed the events in chronological order they should compare with other groups to see if they agree on the placements. If not, they should discuss why they were right or wrong and come up with the correct placement.
After the order has been determined, the students should glue or tape the slips to their construction paper.
